Colombia Alba Quina

Tasting Notes: caramel, cherry, lemon

Doña Alba has lived in the countryside during her entire life and has grown different crops since she was very young. However, seven years ago, she decided to dedicate her life to coffee.

She was born and raised in the Yaquivá Indigenous Reserve, where she currently lives with her husband and children. Seeing how hard her husband worked, she decided to become a coffee farmer, providing an additional income for her family. Now, coffee is her family’s main source of income and one for which she is grateful.

At the beginning of her career as a coffee farmer, Alba was not interested in producing specialty coffee; however, a nearby producer’s association provided the valuable technical assistance she applied to improve her coffee quality.

Doña Alba dreams of improving her farm and coffee after Cosecha Traders imported her coffee for the first time. For us, it is a pleasure to support small coffee growers to cultivate their dreams.
